Sharing the photos from the magical night, Tom Cruise said, “Great night at the movies with my friends!! You guys crushed it!F1: The Movie‘s official page re-shared Tom Cruise’s post with a Top Gun twist. The team wrote, “Maverick and Sonny”. In the all-time hit Top Gun, Tom Cruise played the role of LT Pete Mitchell. His call name was –  Maverick. 

The Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise reunion has been making all the right noises. Let’s not forget it came weeks after Pitt, in an interview with E!, said that he would love to work with Tom Cruise again. 

The actor said, “Well, I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplanes and shit like that…So when he does something again that’s on the ground, [then yes].”

F1: The Movie has been directed by  Joseph Kosinski. The film has been backed by Jerry Bruckheimer. It also stars Javier Bardem and Damson Idris.

Los Angeles:

Filmmaker Denis Villeneuve will direct the next James Bond film from Amazon MGM Studios.

As announced earlier, Amy Pascal and David Heyman will serve as producers. Joining them is Tanya Lapointe as an executive producer.

“Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since ‘Dr. No’ with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory,” Villeneuve said.

He added that he intends to honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come, reported Variety.

“This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour. Amy, David, and I are absolutely thrilled to bring him back to the screen. Thank you to Amazon MGM Studios for their trust.”

Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, added, “We are honoured that Denis has agreed to direct James Bond’s next chapter. He is a cinematic master, whose filmography speaks for itself.”

“From ‘Blade Runner 2049′ to ‘Arrival’ to the ‘Dune’ films, he has delivered compelling worlds, dynamic visuals, complex characters, and—most importantly—the immersive storytelling that global audiences yearn to experience in theaters. Pascal and Heyman said, “Denis Villeneuve has been in love with James Bond movies since he was a little boy. It was always his dream to make this movie, and now it’s ours, too. We are lucky to be in the hands of this extraordinary filmmaker.”

Villeneuve is an acclaimed, Oscar-nominated French-Canadian filmmaker who most recently helmed “Dune” and “Dune: Part Two”. A third installment in the sci-fi franchise “Dune: Messiah” is in development and dated for release in 2026.

Pascal will produce the new film via Pascal Pictures, and Heyman will produce via Heyday Films.

The duo officially signed on for the roles in March after Amazon MGM struck a landmark deal with longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson that saw them cede creative control of the franchise to the streamer.

Not once, but the Jurassic World Rebirth co-stars were seen giving a peck to each other on their lips, twice. The first was at the London premiere of their film, followed by the New York screening. Scarlett Johansson broke her silence on the same as she said, “He is a lovable guy, what can I say?”

Squid Game Season 3 fans, we have exciting news in store for you. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has spilled the beans on the upcoming season. As he said, it will be “dark and bleak.”

Hwang Dong-hyuk told The Guardian, “The world, as I observe it, has less hope. I wanted to explore questions like, ‘What is the very last resort of humankind? And do we have the will to give future generations something better?’ After watching all three seasons, I hope we can each ask ourselves, ‘How much humanity do I have left in me?’

The Korean drama, which is known for its deadly twists and turns, will not see a “happy ending”, said the creator. 

“People like a happy ending. I’m like that too. But some stories, by nature, can’t have one. If you try to force one, the essence is compromised. If a story is holding up a mirror to something, then it’s not always a happy ending. Squid Game is no exception,” he added. Lee Jung-jae, who plays hapless hero turned vigilante Gi-hun, also shared his two cents on Squid Game’s plot twists and how the team wanted to keep the messaging clear. 

“The finale was something even I didn’t expect. So I’m sure a lot of fans will not see it coming. I think a lot of people will have different reactions. It’s definitely going to spur a lot of conversation,” he said.

“People have been so curious. A lot of them come to me asking for spoilers. I keep telling them that if you want to have fun watching season three, you just have to hold still. It’s coming,” Lee added.

The demise of actress Shefali Jariwala has deeply shocked the entertainment industry. The actress died on Friday due to a reported cardiac arrest. However, this is not the first case of an actor passing away due to a heart-related ailment at a relatively young age.

Actor Sidharth Shukla, who was a fellow contestant of the actress in the 13th season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, passed away in 2021 at the age of 40 following a heart attack. The actor, who won the 13th edition of ‘Bigg Boss’, was also rumoured to be the ex-boyfriend of Shefali.

Actor Deepesh Bhan, who was known for his work in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, died in 2022, reportedly due to a heart attack. The actor died at the age of 41.

Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar also reportedly passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 46 in 2021.

International stars like actress Brittany Murphy and singer Cass Elliot also died of a heart attack at a young age. Brittany Murphy passed away on December 20, 2009, at 32 due to a heart attack. Cass Elliot died at 32 in 1974 from a heart attack, which is said to have been exacerbated by her struggles with obesity.

After Shefali’s demise, members of the entertainment fraternity like playback singer Mika Singh, actor Aly Goni, Karishma Tanna and celebrity chef Kunal Kapur and Paras Chhabra condoled her demise.

Mika was among the first to react to the news. He took to his Instagram, and wrote, “I’m deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart. Our beloved dear friend @shefalijariwala has left us”.

Actor Aly Goni took to the Stories section of his Instagram, and shared a picture of the actress as he wrote, “RIP Shefali”. He later tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to hear about Shefali Jariwala’s sudden demise. Life is so unpredictable. Rest in peace”.

Actress Karishma Tanna also took to the Stories section of her Instagram to express grief over Shefali Jariwala’s tragic death. “Heavy heart. This is unbelievable!! Gone too soon”.

Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur also took to his Instagram as he paid tribute to Shefali Jariwala. He shared a picture of the actress and wrote, “Life is so fragile. Just forgive and forget. Hug those you love and spend time being happy with the ones you care for. Shocked & saddened over this horrible news of Shefali passing away”.

Actor Paras Chhabra also mourned her loss, as he shared a photo with Shefali and captioned it, “Kiski zindagi kitni likhi hai koi nahi janta. Om Shanti”.

Shefali’s husband, Parag Tyagi, reportedly rushed her to a hospital in the Andheri area of Mumbai, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her body was taken to Cooper Hospital in Andheri for formalities. The postmortem of the actress has been done.

Manoj Bajpayee reacted to the viral rumour that he was the first choice for Aamir Khan’s role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti. Slamming the rumour in a hilarious way, the Family Man actor shared on his X, handle “Matlab kuch bhi (you can say anything).”

The star fast bowler, who took five wickets in the first innings of the first Test in Leeds, will not play the second Test as part of workload management. There has been no official confirmation regarding the same. Bumrah’s absence is bound to come as a big blow to the Indian cricket team as the other bowlers lacked the fire-power in  the first Test. While Bumrah took the first five-wicket haul of the series, Prasidh Krishna was expensive while Mohammed Siraj could not get enough wickets. Krishna’s figures were 3/128 in 20 overs and in the second innings it was 2/92 in 15 overs. Mohammed Siraj’s figures were 2/122 in 27 overs in the first innings and 0/51 in 14 overs in the second.  Compared to Bumrah’s figures of 5/140 from 43.4 overs at an economy rate of 3.20, the rest struggled to match his impact. Fast bowling all-rounders Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna combined to return with figures of 9/482 from 92 overs, a massive chasm.

Ahead of the series it was decided that Bumrah will play only three of the five Tests against England. The second Test starts on July 2 in Birmingham, and there is a little gap after that as the third Test starts on July 10 in Lord’s. Bumrah is likely to be available for the third Test. 

Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh are the two other specialist pacers in the squad. Medium pace allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is another option. Most indications point towards left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh replacing Bumrah in the XI. But again, no one could confrm the development. While Arshdeep has not played any Test, he has ODI and T20I experrience. In T20Is, he is India’s all-time highest wicket-taker with 99 scals in 63 games. Shardul Thakur may also be dropped for Reddy to add more batting muscle.

• During the show, Salman shared an incident involving a fan who managed to enter his residential building, Galaxy Apartments. 
• The discussion began when Kapil jokingly asked if fans ever show up at his house with suitcases.
• Salman confirmed that something similar had recently happened. 
• He said, “Yes, something like that recently happened. There were security guards outside. A woman told them she wanted to head up to the fourth floor, and she entered. She rang the doorbell, and our servant opened the door. The servant was shocked because the lady said, ‘Salman called me over.’ Obviously, the servant saw her and was sure I definitely didn’t call her. She was a fan, so she was escorted out.”

The incident occurred in May this year. The woman attempted to breach security at the building but was stopped before reaching the actor’s residence.

On the professional front, Salman was last seen in Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film starred Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, Sanjay Kapoor, Prateik, Smita Patil, and Kishore. 

Salman played Sanjay “Sikandar” Rajkot, a man dealing with the consequences of a past tragedy. Despite its star-studded cast, the film did not perform well at the box office.

New Delhi:

Actor and model Shefali Jariwala died late Friday, and her last rites were performed in Mumbai on Saturday evening, with close family members and friends in attendance. Several key details have emerged in the ongoing investigation into the sudden death of actress Shefali Jariwala. 

According to sources, police have gathered important information based on witness statements, seized evidence and preliminary forensic inputs.

“Shefali was regularly consuming anti-ageing medicines for the last seven-eight years. There was a puja at home on June 27, due to which Shefali was fasting. Despite this, she took an injection of anti-ageing medicine in the afternoon of the same day. These medicines were advised to her by a doctor years ago, and since then she has been taking this treatment every month. So far in the police investigation, it has come to light that these medicines could be a major reason for cardiac arrest,” the source told NDTV.

The timeline of events suggests that Shefali’s health deteriorated between 10 and 11 PM on June 27.

The source added, “Between 10 and 11 pm, Shefali’s health suddenly deteriorated. The body started trembling and she fell unconscious. She was immediately taken to the hospital. At that time, Shefali, her husband Parag, mother and some other people were present at home.The forensic team has collected various items from the residence as part of the probe.

They continued, “The forensic team has seized a variety of medicines from the house, including anti-ageing vials, vitamin supplements and gastric pills.”

As part of the ongoing investigation, statements from multiple people have been recorded.

“So far, the police have recorded the statements of 8 people in this case, including family members, domestic servants and doctors from Bellevue Hospital. The investigation has not found any signs of dispute or quarrel so far. The police and forensic team will now take further action based on the postmortem report and lab tests of the medicines,” the source concluded.

The official cause of death is still awaited, and further action will depend on the postmortem findings and chemical analysis of the seized substances.
